Is selling gas/electric door to door on the same level as traffic wardens as a job?

I'm a salesman and it's really quiet at the minute. I've been asked to go back and sell gas/electric(sainsbury's energy) The wages are brilliant but aren't people sick and tired of salesmen?If more than 50% of you think I shouldn't then I wont!!
